paper doll events
Having originally met in a corporate planning setting, Lindsay and Stephanie's love of event planning and beautifully crafted experiences brought to life Paper Doll.
We pride ourselves in creating thoughtful and well planned events for our clients. When not surrounded by budgets, schedules or curating unique styling ideas, we can be found locally in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, exploring local shops and eateries.
After three years of schooling in political science and four years (and a degree) in communications and public relations, Lindsay is excited to have found her home in events.
She stumbled into the field on an internship five years ago and immediately knew it was where she belonged. Lindsay has subsequently built a career around producing and coordinating a variety of different events. From large-scale meetings and parties, to intimate cocktail gatherings, she loves creating opportunities that bring people together and allow for experiences to take place that otherwise may not have occurred.
Through her years of planning networking events, cocktail receptions, parties and corporate meetings, seminars and symposiums, she has built up her network and has gained extensive experience in vendor management, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, day-of-coordination and relationship management.
Lindsay has always been infatuated with beautifully curated experiences and loves nothing more than being able to design an event that reflects the values, style, lives and stories of her clients.
When not focused on timelines, budgets or DIY decor, Lindsay will most likely be trying to catch up on the latest football trades and volunteering around the Calgary community.
What began as a career in marketing for Stephanie soon became a passion for creating thoughtful and purpose-driven events. Much like brand development, she continually found herself inspired by the intentionality and emotional connection behind event planning.
With a degree in marketing and communications, Stephanie has spent almost a decade planning corporate events in Calgary. From cozy cocktail gatherings to stompin' Stampede events, she's managed all sizes, timelines, budgets and challenges. But it wasn't until her own wedding in 2013 that she fully started to consider new career paths. The sophistication of planning a full- scale event coupled with the exciting exercise of communicating, and celebrating, a couple's unique story became a welcomed obsession.
Through her experience, Stephanie has built a network of creatives that she continues to look to, and partner with, for her clients. She understands that weddings can often become overwhelming with the pressures of budgets, finding creative solutions without sacrificing quality, and, for better or worse, the never ending inspiration of Pinterest. She prides herself in creating intimate and inspired gatherings that tell a story and believes that all moments, big and small, should be celebrated.
Stephanie can often be found enjoying the local farmers market, listening to Lady Antebellum, or trying to keep up with her sports-inclined husband.
